Chrissy Kinsman, Piestress

Continually amazed and inspired by the blessed goodness that happens when fat meets flour, Chrissy has been baking for over 30 years.  She wields her Grandma Helen's rolling pin daily in an attempt to prove that pie can save the world.

Jen Maxner “Max”, Kitchen Manager

This stock image of a Roadrunner embodies the fierce energy Max brings to the kitchen. Unstoppable, hilarious and super effective, when Max shows up stuff is about to GET DONE. Her incredibly timed wit and uncanny ability to rewrite words to ALL songs keeps us in stitches and keeps the kitchen mood light and moving right along. (And who doesn’t love a good show tune?)

Johnny Smiles, A.M. Pie Wizard

Johnny never sleeps…or at least it certainly seems that way. By the time most of the staff roll in around 6 am, Johnny has already worked a shift and is off to his other job! Constantly making us laugh and a fan of Taylor Swift (sorry Johnny…you know it’s true) he makes every shift he works fun and funny (not to mention incredibly delicious!) and gets the job done every time.

Max Peplin, Baker & All-around Helpful Human

Since one Max in the kitchen wasn’t enough I invited this one out from Ohio for the summer. Good-natured, kind and helpful, Max brings a sense of calm knowing that when he’s on the job we can rest easy. Hailing from the west side of Cleveland, Max brings his many years of pizzeria management to Pie Chicks and is eager to add pastry skills to his big bag of kitchen tricks. Welcome Max!

Clare Harrington, Pie Chick

Clare Harrington, former astronaut and Bond Girl, works the pie line with great finesse. She is a great lover of horses, fine pastry and working hard! (and can also deliver a really good laugh to the hard-working pie chicks…) Clare is another one of the early birds around the kitchen, often rising before the sun to make sure that the pie line goes on! (She NEVER “tells tales out of school”, but always seems to know the best political gossip!)

Jasmine Robinson, Baker

Jasmine returns to the Pie Chicks kitchen this summer joining the early bird crew. Showing up at 4 am with a big smile on her face, her easy-going demure nature is an early morning balm. Grateful to have Jasmine’s artistic skill back in the kitchen again this year!

Owen Minnich, Pastry Assistant

Another Ohioan joins the PC ranks this year. Owen throws dough for a living back in his hometown of Avon Lake, OH where he works as a pizza shop wizard. Getting his hands on pie dough is a new and exciting adventure! Owen loves the ocean and almost all foods (raw broccoli is a no-go). Welcome Owen!

Pie Chicks Alumni xoxo

Raquel Ferrera, Kitchen Manager

Raquel Ferrera grew up in Connecticut, studying baking and pastry arts at I.C.E. NYC. She loves spending her free time outside, whether it’s the beach or the woods with her husband, daughter, and dog. Favorite pie flavor is peach blackberry with a ginger-oat crumb.

Becky Bonds, Pie Chick

Meet Becky Bonds! Becky has been part of the Pie Chicks coop since 2018. In the kitchen, Becky contributes to the efficiency by donning many hats. From pie delivery to pie line, boxing or sorting, Becky’s energy is a key ingredient. Outside of the kitchen, Becky can be spotted rollerblading on the bike paths of Katama in time to catch the sunrise over the bay. Her most successful recipe to date? Her son Chevy!

Caroline Harrington, Pie Chick

Caroline has returned for her third season at Pie Chicks. She is from Wilmington, Delaware and currently working towards her Masters in Health Promotion at the University of Delaware. Her favorite part of working at Pie Chicks is the people she works with. She recommends the Triple Berry Pie!

Ross Lamkin, Pie Guy & Cookie Wizard

Ross Lamkin’s love for pie has brought his baking journey full-circle.  From humble beginnings mastering the Easy-Bake Oven (and commandeering his sister’s kitchen play set) and Cookie Monster’s favorite sugar cookie recipe, to officially kicking off his professional baking career with Los Angeles-based Humble Pie Bakery in 2008 catering to Hollywood’s A-list, Ross is excited for this next sweet adventure working with and learning from island baking idols Chrissy and Raquel, as well as all his fellow Pie Chicks!

Meghan Meehan, Shift Manager

Meghan holds the prestigious title of being the ONLY Pie Chick who did not have to withstand an interview…she simply walked up, asked if we were hiring and she was in. (And then we all crowded around and said “…wow…she seems really great!”…true story!) Whether she’s working the ovens like a bad a**, kneading up some baguette dough or whipping out another batch of scones for the following morning, Meg adds a little bit of magic—and we all notice!
