Chrissy Kinsman, Piestress
Continually amazed and inspired by the blessed goodness that happens when fat meets flour, Chrissy has been baking for over 30 years. She wields her Grandma Helen's rolling pin daily in an attempt to prove that pie can save the world.
Raquel Ferrera, Kitchen Manager
Raquel has returned to the Pie Chick's kitchen after a year in Connecticut. When she's not caring for her adorable baby daughter (and honorary Pie Chick), Charlie, Raquel is very busy making amazing pies, tarts, and cookies as well as fabulous homemade pasta for the new Pie Chick's savory line.
Holly Robinson, Baker
I washed ashore in 2001. In 2009 I graduated from MVRHS and later completed my degree in anthropology at UMass Boston. I've been living in Alaska for the last 3 years and finally decided to come home and learn to bake. My absolute favorite part of pie hands down is the crust. The filling is just a means to an end.
Madelyn Pryor, Baker
Maddie hails from southern Vermont as a cook, farmer and anthropologist. She is passionate about food justice and hopes to provide folks with delicious, nourishing food everywhere she goes. Her favorite kind of pie is rhubarb and sweet geranium.
Caroline Harrington, Baker
Caroline is from Wilmington, Delaware where she attends the University of Delaware. She decided to come to the Island for the summer to be a Pie Chick! She loves to bake and cook. Her favorite pie is Key Lime pie!
Bette Saltzman, Side Chick
Bette, aka "Side Chick", is our tireless Farmer's Market volunteer. She has impeccable fashion sense, great taste in pastry and eats Triple Berry pie like nobody's business. We are counting the hours 'til next summer when Bette will be back with us at market. But be careful--she will upsell you before you know it.
